What information we collect
When you use Bike ME, we may process the following categories of personal data:
- Account data: name and email address in connection with account creation and use (login is handled through our authentication solution).
- Profile and app data: information you fill in yourself in your profile (for example level, bike type, home region, "about me" and optional profile picture).
- Ride data (content you create): the ride title, description, discipline, time, duration, distance (if relevant), meeting point/start location and other information you choose to add. Information about participation (for example who has signed up for a ride).
- Route data (optional): if you import a GPX file, we store route data together with the ride so the route can be shown on the map.
- Location data: your location when you actively give the app permission. Location is used for map features (for example showing fixed meeting points and nearby rides) as well as live tracking and recording your route, speed and distance when you actively choose to start and record a bike ride in the app. You can turn location off at any time in your device settings.
- Push notifications: if you allow push notifications, we store a push token (device ID for notifications) so we can send important ride messages, for example changes or when the host can no longer make it. You can turn push off in the app settings/profile or in your phone settings.
- Technical data: device type, operating system, app version and log/error reports (to the extent necessary). This is used for operations, troubleshooting and improving the Service.
- Communication and support: inquiries you send us by email, and relevant information you share in connection with support.
